Japanese Facials
I like facials to accomplish something that I can’t at home. That mostly involves extraction and exfoliation. When I heard about Fusion’s special facial, designed to improve facial appearance by increasing blood flow, oxygen and nutrients to the skin, I was doubtful. I thought it would be more pampering and relaxing than the down-and-dirty deep clean I look for in a professional facial.
But the experience—including the facial—was great. The spa was beautiful. The room was dark. Everything was very Asian, feng shui, clean, relaxing and unpretentious. The mask Kathy put on my face had a pleasant floral aroma. It went on thick and cool. And then it tightened up. Then it got itchy and ticklish.
When the mask came off, the Japanese part began. Quick upward hand movements stimulated my circulation; Kathy was very confident and comfortable with her technique. A neck and shoulder massage throughout made this treatment very relaxing.
All the products were botanical and high quality. When the facial was over, my skin looked dewy and vital. Though I was initially skeptical of what this particular treatment would accomplish, the relaxation during those 75 minutes was wonderful. I would definitely return to Fusion for top-notch professional facials. And I would especially recommend this unusual, stimulating facial treatment to anyone who wants to improve circulation to the skin.
